The Warranty Group Announces Two New Leadership Hires in Asia

CHICAGO, Illinois –The Warranty Group, Inc. today announced the addition of two key appointments to their Asia/Pacific leadership team.

Liqun Li has joined The Warranty Group as their new country manager of China. Mr. Li joins the company from Dazhong Insurance Company where he most recently served as deputy general manager, and brings with him over sixteen years of executive management experience. During his career, Mr. Li has become a well-respected expert in underwriting, reinsurance, and risk management — both in the UK and Hong Kong.

Mr. Li holds a Master’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance from City University in London and a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Anhui University in China.

Another addition to the Asia/Pacific team is Razak Shakor, who is the new country manager of Malaysia. Mr. Shakor joins The Warranty Group from GroupMed Consultants where he most recently served as executive director, risk management. He also worked for Johnson & Higgins/Marsh Insurance Brokers as a managing director for their Malaysian operations. Over the past thirteen years, Mr. Shakor has specialized in risk management and insurance solutions for the manufacturing, telecommunications, and financial services industries among others.

Mr. Razak holds certificates from Lloyd’s of London and the Chartered Insurance Institute, and is also a qualified certificant of the Institute of Risk Management in the UK. He majored in Insurance at the MARA University of Technology.
